Last I heard, Pentax was still supporting the LX and I expect them to
support it for some time to come. I Understand Pentax US had all parts
necessary last year and I expect they have this part today to restore any LX
to an "as sold" late model state. That being said, I own 5 LX's and none
have or ever had a "little plastic (?) cover off[on] the top of the rewind
[knob/lever]. They have a black/metallic rewind knob out of which a rewind
crank folds similar to all my camera types. It is naked with no cover as are
all my other cameras. Did you loose this crank/knob?
