Some large format SLRs do vibrate that much. The camera shop where I used 
to work had a Zenit 80 (Russian copy of early focal-plane-shutter 
Hasselblad) in for repair once, which we looked at in wonderment. 

If you put it on a solid surface and fired the shutter with a cable 
release, it did actually jump clear of the surface. I saw daylight under 
it, briefly.
