Not really. The Super Program also offers shutter priority (and full program) modes, when used with the "A" lenses. That's a little more than "just more electronics". I don't think the shutter is any faster than that of the ME Super, either; aren't they both the same (Seiko?) 1/2000 vertical-run metal blade unit?
