My understanding is that all auto-focus lenses are more susceptible to
fungus and dust because they have to be well vented to keep from putting an
extra load on the motor. Keeping a container of desiccant in with your
camera gear helps some.

Subject: 24-90 +/- Zoom recommendation

I have lost my FA28-70 to fungus. Bought another on ebay but it came to me
with a fungus. Now I think maybe they are susceptible.

is bulky. I have almost always used Pentax lens but maybe there is a non
Pentax that is good. I will use it on a ZX5n.

camera and MF camera, leaving the 35mm behind. I have the prime lens, a lot
of A lens, M lens, MX body... I think I am having an identity crisis
regarding 35mm. The istD would be a solution but I don't want to jump into
digital that deep until I see where Pentax's digital lineup is heading.

with no battery pack and a small lightweight lens would get some use.
