I was very strong that day.  I just dropped it in the trash.  Pentax had already 
cleaned it and it came back.  No problem with any other of my lens.

You might consider the new Tamron SP 28-75/2.8 which is around US$320, or 
you can send me your fungus lenses for free repair (but without promise).
