there are four drawbacks that i have encountered: 1) can't use pre-A lenses without resorting to tricks or an external meter 2) no power zoom - matters only if you bought lenses that have it and actually use it 3) pentamirror - less bright than pentaprism 4) forgets auto-bracketing setting when turned off
