No wizard, me. But I do own one. The M-200 f/4 is smallish,
52mm thread, built-in hood. I like mine a lot, although scans
often show slight chromatic problems (yellowish fringe on one
side of an object, bluish on the other). I assume, therefore,
no APO elements were used to construct it. The fringing is NOT
bad and on some shots does not exist at all. My K24 f2.8 shows
lots more fringing, and it's a "well regarded" lens.

The M-200 is lighter than my K135 f2.5 and easier to use on
a tripod set for vertical shots.

I'd buy the M-200 f1.4 again in a heartbeat if I lost or broke
mine.

True wizards are those who have many lenses at each focal length.
Perhaps one of them will respond. This is the only 200mm prime
I own.

Hi!

And if you want a 200mm prime instead of the 4th:
 M 200mm f/4

Lon, mind if I ask you (and other wizards) about this very lens. Is it heavy? How's it optically? Is there A version?
