I personally would have no objections to the *occasional* announcement of this nature, particularly for extremely unusual items. But, of course, I'm biased: if it hadn't been for someone on this list posting just such an announcement about a rarity at Charlotte Camera it is fairly unlikely that I would be the happy posessor of an FA* 250-600.
