Thanks. As far as I know the S20 is the only 35mm film scanner capable
of doing this. According to the manual It will scan up to 187mm (7 3/8")
in a single pass. I only found out about this when talking to its
current (soon to be "previous") owner about my frustrations in finding a
good, affordable 35mm scanner with this feature.

Now I'm tempted to take one of those files and have it printed to 1 foot
wide by about 1 metre long, if you'll excuse the metric/imperial mix.
I'll have to find out what the cost will be. Depending on what the lab
can do I might have to arrange two images onto a "standard" paper size.

I could have used Photoshop but I already have an HTML "template" that I
have been using while building my new photo site. This puts a couple of
borders around the photo by using a table. Using Dreamweaver makes it
easy to fiddle with the border colours, and I end up with a web page at
the end.

Finding some matting card in the "right" colours is the next challenge.

Cheers,

- Dave
