Gee I sold my M85/2 about 2 years ago. I read such mixed opinions about the lens but I always got great pictures with it. I just didn't pursuit a replacement.

For myself, I don't think the 77 is well suited to portraiture, but that is just my preference. I actually prefer the M/85mm f/2. William Robb
