Okay, I tried Bruce Dayton's monopod on recent NorCal PDML outing. I won't say I was SOLD, but I was intrigued. I think, being a woman with less upper body strength than some males, a monopod might suit me more than a tripod. (Unless someday I can afford a carbon fiber tripod.) Or maybe a monopod is a good starting point for me.
Anyway, if I can get one for under $40 or under $50, I just might do it. I've been looking at Adorama. And they have some cheapo Bogen Manfrottos. I've been concentrating on the 3016/679, the 3016/679 with head, and the 3216/679B. Any input welcome, or any other recommendations bearing in my mind my price range. Marnie aka Doe Because any other discretionary spending camera-wise will be for lenses. Not willing to drop a lot on a monopod or tripod right now.
