I think it will be possible to compete on the APS size market only, like both Canon and Nikon have competed on the 135 market only.


SLRs will become the pro/advanced amateur
market only. They will abandon this market
or produce full frame SLR, they really have no choice...

We will probably have a new class full dSLRs having full frame sensors and being aimed at a market corresponding to the medium format today. In addition we will, of course keep the film based medium format systems with digital backs.


Eventually, the only way to effectively
increase pixel count will be to make
sensor larger. Otherwise the pixels
get too small and become insensitive/noisy...
