I've heard good things said about the Sony Artisan, so you might want to take a look at it. I can't afford one yet. :-)


In general, I think the CRTs that come with a hood are worth taking a look at but you may want to keep a second "general-purpose" display around for non-color critical use so you don't wear out the expensive, hooded display.
