you can ELIMINATE medium format. I see no reason
why todays 35mm format and lenses cannot BEAT
what is being acheived in medium format with film
today....

Well, I admit I hadn't thought of that -- eliminating medium format. 

When you come right down to it, yeah, digital isn't really limited to film 
formats. And why should it be? It's a different medium.

Very good point.

I'm not even that long at photography, and here I was making the common, easy 
to all into, mistake -- imposing a previous medium standards on a new medium.
