Actually I though of buying a cheapish monopod sometime back - in walmart it was available for just US$10.00. But then thought that instead of having monopod, I would rather keep on using my tripod only. It is obviously more stable and doesn't take that time to set it up.
So, perhaps a quick question to all who have been using tripod and also monopod, when do you use monopod ?

I can remove centre column of Slik 700DXPro tripod. Planning to use it as monopod. I thinks its bit short. total lenght from bottom to top of the head comes to 24inches.
Has anybody tried using this way?
