Steven, On a reverse adapter, the lens will always remain at the working aperture, unless you toggle the stopdown lever with a finger. The adapter itself will present itself to the camera as a manual K-mount lens. This is one of those fortunate circumstances where the *ist D meter should operate in stop-down mode without resorting to devious manipulations.
