My favorites, as if that means anything:
Ken Waller - Ice Flower:
Hey, I saw it in the rag and now it appears here! I understand
why you selected it for this month. Good shot.
Rolf Brenner - Strange Noise:
Best shot on PUG this month, IMHO.
I find it extremely difficult to shoot crowds.
This one nails the moment.
Max McRae - Maree:
I hate wedding shots. I _really_ hate wedding albums.
I hate shooting weddings. But this shot works.
I hate that. VBG.
Cotty - Jostein:
Frankencameras are not allowed on PUG pursuant to Article 4,
Section 3: "Lens or camera must be Pentax UNLESS a fellow
Pugster is being shot by a professional video cameraman.
There is a 1600 dollar fine associated with such nonsense....".
Cot, you take good portraits. BTW, how do you like that old Tak?
Nathan Combs- Untitled:
Good living room grab. What I like about this shot is
that it makes me want to get to know the subject. It draws
me in.
Gerald Lewis - White Storefront:
I almost never shoot buildings because I find them boring.
However, quaint, tired, lonely do come to mind on this shot.
The cross detail at the right rear really helps make this shot
have some emotional appeal. And B&W was the way to go here.
Dag Thrane's Web Designer:
I thought I would have the best critter shot this month,
especially since Mark Cassino decided on a PJ-type submission,
but 'twas not to be. Someone else mentioned "too much space" at
the top. To me that makes the shot melodramatic, moody, and
even beautiful. Can't believe I'm writing such words about a
creepy crawler.
