I couldn't try your experiment with a ZX-L and ME Super since I don't
own either of these, but I did try it with a MX and MZ-3 and the
Meters agreed with 1 stop when pointed at a bare bulb and were dead on
equal when pointed at an evenly illuminated wall. I think your ME Super
has problems.

Hi!

I have received it from the repairs. The shutter does seem to work. I
can see it opening for all speeds and I can see a difference between
the speeds. I asked my co-worker (former Pentaxian) to check it for
me. He also thought it was ok. Naturally I am going to pass a film
through it, hopefully not one.

But the workmanship is well, below the knee level. The piece of pseudo
leather on the side of film rewind knowb is not fixed properly. One
moment it just left the body and attached itself to my hand.

The back cover moves about 1 mm vertically at the left side. It is
where the film rewind knob is.

Luckily for me, infinity focus checks out fine with FA 50/1.7 and so
seems the exposure.

But man, I am not going there again. Total I've spend $30 + $70 on
these repairs and although camera seems to work, I am totally furious
with this repairman.

I have a question - I've pointed my ZX-L with 50 mm lens attached and
set to f/1.7 at the usual tungsten light bulb. It showed 1/350 sec.
Then ME Super with same lens and same aperture showed 1/2000 sec. I
went almost ballistic but then I decided I use a wall as a test case.
ZX-L gave me 1/20 sec and ME Super gave me 1/30 sec which I suppose is
the same, because ME Super does not show half stops of shutter speed.
I do suppose the meter on ME Super works.

I wonder why so much a difference in the first case. By the way,
ZX-L's spot metering showed 1/4000 sec (f/1.7) if spot metered off the
lamp.

I had to vent out a little.
