During my two weeks away I had brief glimpses of the list, and since
returning I have been plowing through the accumulated messages. Obviously
there has been much discussion of the ist-D. So I had a discussion with my
local shop about where is MY ist-D, and he said that he nor his rep know
anything. 

So I have been trying to separate out speculation and rumor from fact. In
what countries has the ist-D actually reliably been seen to exist? Within
the U.S., within what cities has it been seen to exist?
What I have gleaned so far:

Australia
New Zealand
Japan
Canada
  Toronto?
England
  London
  Sunny Brighton
U.S. ?
  Seattle?
  New York?
I would appreciate any reliable information that might substantiate or
supplement the above. My working hypothesis is that so far only 200 have
been produced, they have been scattered about the world in a random fashion,
and Pentax USA is out to lunch.
In France, I see the first in Toulouse today. Nice but expensive !!
