Frantisek -

The Polaris now is made in three models. I have the one of the original
models with a standard LCD for the digital display. Later they upgraded to
a model with the LCD backlighted, making it a little easier to see in low
light conditions. The latest model includes all the features of the earlier
units plus the ability to make 5 degree spot readings.

They are marketed here in the US by Omega Satter. I went to their web pages
for information - http://www.omegasatter.com - but the link to Polaris
meters yielded a blank page. I don't know who would have them for sale in
Europe, but they are available via the internet from Adorama and B&H Photo.
I believe the price on the original model is now about 170usd, so even with
shipping that would keep you in about the 200usd range.

Below are some links from a Google search which will give you some
information re: specifications and some reviews by other photographers.

Hope this helps. BTW, where in the Czech Republic are you. We had the good
fortune to visit Prague several years ago and loved it. Hope to be able to
return some day for a longer time.

Paul
