Hi Miska Best route Boston - NYC and points south is I 90 - I 84 - I 91 to Ct Rt 15 (exit 17 or 18). 15 changes name from Wilber Cross to Merritt to Hutchinson (all turnpikes). The Hutch will get you into NYC. It's all 4 lane divided 55mph and with the exception of rush hour or an accident will move at 55-65. Added advantage, no trucks.
I like to avoid I 95 in Ct as much as possible. Butch
