I know, no spikes in softball. Actually, I think they're illegal in most, if not all leagues. It just sounds way better to say "sliding in with his spikes up" than "sliding in with his multi-turf shoes with the multiple rubber nubs up", don't you think? <vbg>
What the hell are you talking, "bar after the game", anyway? In ~our~ softball league (back when I played), we had the first 1/2 dozen ~during~ the game. That way you don't have to hurry to the bar... <vbg>
