Well, I haven't bought *many* -- bought my LX four years ago, and since then I have purchased one new finder (to replace the damaged original) and two new screens, one of which was to replace a damaged one. Was never tempted to buy a winder or motor drive, because I already had two cameras with motors built in; nor a flash since I already owned a flash that would work in TTL with the LX (not that I use flash much, especially with the LX.) Snakeskin, of course, is completely out of the question.
