Thanks everyone.

I think I've gone from total confusion to understanding this. Or getting most
of it. Holding a Pentax screwmount camera and trying out a scewmount on my
Canon will clear up any remaining confusion.

Though I think I am pretty clear now. I read everyone as saying flip a switch
on the camera for stop down metering, maybe they did, but maybe they didn't.
Will go back and reread. Maybe both the lens and the camera have stop down
metering switches.

One last q...

When one is storing Taks and SuperTaks, is it best to leave the lens shutter
stopped down or wide open?

Which is easier on the mechanism, in other words, which puts more strain on
the mechanism?

Thanks again.

Later, Marnie I vaguely remember this being asked before, but I don't
remember the answer.
