Isn't that kinda what RAW is all about? When you bring it into PhotoShop, you can work in whatever color space that you want. When you save, the color space is saved as well.
Truthfully, when I intend to print using a lab's Fuji Frontier equipment, I set up for sRGB and save in that color space after editing. When I intend to print on my Epson, I either set up for Adobe RGB, or stay in JPEG and use the PIM II plugin in Photoshop 7. All ways seem to work well for me. I like the printed results from the *ist D better than my Canon D60. The D60 has already become a backup camera, as I enjoy using the *ist D more every day. Using old lenses is a "piece of cake", too. One CF to set, and then shoot in aperture priority. Works great with my Zenitar fisheye, which is pretty much manual.
