Compared to NiCd, NiMH pack a bit (30% to 50%) more capacity into the
same volume and weight, but they give you a lower voltage during
discharge (bad for applications that pull a bit of current), they
self-discharge about three times faster, they don't work in freezing
temperatures (nor do they like extreme heat), they must be replaced
about three times as often, and they can't be charged nearly as fast.
