A couple of years ago I hired my friend's 17-year-old son to help me move
some stuff. I have a couple of boxes of LPs, and asked him if he ever
listened to records, or just listened to CDs. His response was, "Just CDs,
I don't have a vinyl player."

I'd never heard a turntable called a "vinyl player" before.

For the record, I also think that LPs sound better than CDs, for the first
play or two, then they inevitably pick up some surface damage. It got to
the point where I'd buy an album, then immediately make a tape recording of
it, and only pull out the album to listen on rare special occasions. The
rest of the time I'd listen to the tape. CDs are way less bother than that.
