Correct me if I'm wrong and I'm sure some will ... but:
I thought it was okay to take pictures in a public place and use them in
publications without any permission from the subject. Of course MacChicken
or Captain's Cook, or wherever it was, is not a public place, or is it?
This differs from country to country. As far as I know they are very strict in Germany.
In Norway, and the other Nordic countries I think, you may take the picture if you wish, but you are not allowed to publish the photo without asking (no written agreement is needed). Exceptions are made if the person is a public person, like a politician, or if the person is one of many without any special attention.
