Just had my *istD delivered to my door. I also purchased the FA-J 18-35mm lense while I was about it. At first looks it is hard to imagine it is a Digital, what with the Canon and Nikon monstosities I have seen, this little baby is small and light weight.
I like the model dial setup, sort of reminiscient of my MZ-30 (stolen). The shape allows a good grip on the unit and my fingers seem to not get in the way of anything or bump any setting accidently. The popup flash is where it has always been and the LCD panel is easy to read just as is the MZ-S. Shutter release is comfortably placed just like it should be. This seems just like any other Pentax I have owned. Seems odd not to have an aperature ring, almost wrong. My greatest oversite here is that it does not come with a CF card. Luckily I have one laying about. Now, off to play................
