If they insist on printing from jpegs, then take em jpegs.
Find out what dpi they are printing at (Fuji is 300 dpi, Noritsu is 320 dpi,
I don't know about the rest), and take them precisely the file size they
need to print what you want them to print.
If that means upsizing or downsizing the pixel count, then do it yourself,
it's what they are doing and charging you 5 bucks to do.
Also, find out what colour space they are working in, and work in that
colour space. Noritsu uses sRGB, I don't know who else uses what.

Set the quality level to maximum/ baseline standard when saving.

Something I just noticed, is that the Tiffs coming off my ist are 16 bit (I
am sure that is changable in the Pentax software) but PhotoShop won't save a
Jpeg until I have reset the file to 8 bit.

I have a few customers who have done their homework, and have matched their
systems to mine, and their work is a pleasure to print, as I am not fighting
with their files to get something good for them.
