A few reviewers have mentioned that some evaluative metering systems, when
metering a high-contrast scene, will tend to expose for the shadows, which
may give an overall overexposure.  I've noticed this with the MZ-S, and
adjust accordingly when necessary.  However, in the vast majority of
pictures I take, the system works very well, and agrees quite closely with a
hand-held incident meter when I double-check.

Having said that, if center-weighted metering works better for you, go ahead
and use it.  That's why modern cameras give the user more than one choice of
metering system.
