I'll leave my personal beliefs and politics out of it (many of you can guess where I stand anyway <g>)
But, Global Warming (see, I've capitalized it this time, to signify it's importance <g>) is not "much ado about nothing".
That the earth's climate has warmed up since we've been keeping records is indisputable. The reasons are in dispute, I'll grant you, but the actual warming is happening.
The ice caps over both poles are already melting. If they keep doing so, we're in deep doo-doo. We're talking coastal cities under water, that sort of thing.
Seems to me that either the earth is warming due to natural fluctuations (I think we were due for an upswing). Or, it's warming due to human activity. Or, it's warming due to natural fluctuations and has been accelerated by us.
Either way, if we can't figure a way to slow it down, our children may be inhabiting a far different world than they do now...
Could make for some great photo ops, though (just to remind myself this is a photography list <g>).
