I agree with what you are saying except that you don't always "get what
you pay for".

Sometimes (all too often these days) you pay for better service but
still don't get it.  This leads to many not seeing the point and going
to the 'bucket-shops' anyway.

But yes, if you don't pay for the service you can be pretty certain you
wont get it!
