Maybe, but the down side is the climate changes if the predictions were

But, in this hypothetical, I mean that a concensus has been reached and agreed on that it would be Ice Age w/in a few generations - like already getting very cold w/ more to come.

No, it�s a chaotic process (the mathematical chaos theory), and thus per definition unpredictable in detail. It is very difficult to predict anything. In Norway, the winters have been warmer for several years. Which scale of measurements do you choose?
