for a moderate price, Hoya makes a decent range of multicoated filters.
Pentax ones are slightly more expensive, but if you are using one of the
ones that Pentax makes, they ought to be the best out there. i presume you
are using a skylight or UV filter. personally, i don't put any filter on any
lens now unless i need the effect of the filter. that reduces it basically
to polarizers and ND filters with the occasional 81A when i am shooting
slides. i sometimes stack my skylight filter with my polarizer when shooting
with a telephoto at a distant subject.
