One thing I noticed about the *istD and flash is that the setting on the camera for the flash mode makes a big difference. I had put both a 280T and 400T on the *ist D and they were prematurely firing. In investigating the cause, I found that the redeye reduction mode that was set on the camera was causing the flashes to fire ahead of the curtain being opened. I had thought that the setting would only be used with the built-in RTF, but was wrong.
Make sure that the flash setting on the camera is correct for the mode that you are trying to do and see if that helps. -- Best regards, Bruce Sunday, December 28, 2003, 5:17:53 AM, you wrote: KW> When I set my AF-360 to rear curtain sync, if fires a flash as KW> the curtain opens also, how can I stop this and why does it KW> do this?
