Depends on whether your system is calibrated or not. The Standard for the web is sRGB. If your system set up for sRGB then properly setup web pages should be rendered pretty accurately. AdobeRGB is more vivid, and will appear dull on a sRGB calibrated system.

Supposedly, StandardRGB approximates a photographic print, while AdobeRGB approximates a transparency.
