Hi Juey, I understand it was probably meant as friendly concern, but given the way it was slipped in, I thought you made it sound like it was a problem specific to Singapore when it's not, really.
Countries I've been to include Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Australia (Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide), Switzerland (Geneva), France (from the Swiss border), UK and I'm sure I missed a place or two. Judging from my own travel experiences and observations, I'm fairly confident you could name me any 10 cities in the world, and out of that list I'll give you at least 8 countries where pickpocketing statistics are probably higher.
