i'm in the middle of transitioning to a custom system written for IMatch. i have some specific requirements that have to do with interlinked categories of images. a single image can be found under anything up to 15 or 20 categories. there are four types of categories, time of day/year, subject, location, and content. the categories are done and most of the interlinking is done. the problem is that all of the files end up in one folder and with about 4000 stock photo images, that means about 50,000 HTML and JPG files. it kills web server performance and i have to work on a better way to do this. i'll probably end up with a database solution.
