Um... Like Alan, I don't usually do people photography, so what counts for me is the general impression more than the technicalities. To me it's something about the expression of the guy. He seems engaged in conversation with someone outside the frame over the ball he's pointing at. Hi face is frozen in a moment where it's not possible for me to guess what he's saying or thinking.
