Too bad you will only be capturing less than half of the image/resolution
of the lens with the istD's aps sensor.

This brings up the question, wouldnt a full frame 6Mp camera yield better
results than a 6Mp APS camera assuming top quality lenses for two reasons:
1. More image details to record.
2. Lower pixel desity means larger pixels, hence less noise especially at
high ISO's.

Subject: SMC 1.4/50mm FA

Hi
Just got me a used autofocus 1.4/50mm. It will be a great portrait lens
(75mm) on my *ist D, when I get one...
According to Photodo it's one of the sharpest Pentax lenses ever made - or
tested by Photodo (Grade 4.6) - only matched by the SMC F 1.4/50mm and SMC A
1.4/85mm (as well as maybee some macro's, which doesn't really count).
Regards
Jens
