Hi
True enough, I suppose. But I still own 5 nice analog 35mm Pentax bodies -
and I might still get me a MZ-S.
I can use these as long as I can buy film (probably for annother 10-20
ears - like they still make Super-8 moovie film and 35mm moovie film, not
to forget!).

I don't know about APS and "Full Frame CCDs (24x36mm). I guess they are very
difficult to make without flaws - those who tried (Kyocera/Contax for one)
haven't had a lot of success to write home about.

As I see it - analog is good for some jobs - like large prints or slides you
want to show on a screen - digital for just about everything else,
especielly if you run it through a computer anyway. But, as I pointed out on
earlier occations - the scanner's the limit - even for analog, because very
few labs makes photographic prints anymore - the scan you negs and print it
on photografic paper.

Regards
Jens

Too bad you will only be capturing less than half of the image/resolution
of the lens with the istD's aps sensor.

This brings up the question, wouldnt a full frame 6Mp camera yield better
results than a 6Mp APS camera assuming top quality lenses for two reasons:
1. More image details to record.
2. Lower pixel desity means larger pixels, hence less noise especially at
high ISO's.

Hi
Just got me a used autofocus 1.4/50mm. It will be a great portrait lens
(75mm) on my *ist D, when I get one...
According to Photodo it's one of the sharpest Pentax lenses ever made - or
tested by Photodo (Grade 4.6) - only matched by the SMC F 1.4/50mm and SMC A
1.4/85mm (as well as maybee some macro's, which doesn't really count).

Jens
