Actually, FireWire is FireWire. Just because Apple pushed the standard doesn't make it different on the Mac vs. a Windows platform. Now that it has come to Windows, relax and enjoy!

To your question - yes you can get a CF card reader that plugs to the FireWire port. I don't have one, I use a USB 1.1 reader and find other things to do during the 3-4 minute CF download. When I have the spare $70 I might pop for the FireWire reader. But meanwhile, I have bought an X-drive, 40gb, and have been using that as an intermediary step. CF to X-drive, then X-drive to computer sometime later.
