Probably 1/4 to 1/3 camp. The closest motel is the Pixie Inn and the bottom of the mountain, next closest would be the Holiday Inn in Banner Elk about 15 miles, then several in Boone about 25 miles. I've regular attendee has advised that motel prices are unusually high this year. I haven't checked, but this may possibly be due to graduation at Appalachian State University.
