I will be driving my van from K.C. I plan to arrive in the GFM neighborhood Thursday evening. I'll be coming through not too far from Ashville and could retrieve you from there.
I requested a camping "permit." Then I got to thinking. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Hmm, that is a long time without a shower. And they did say they don't really have camping facilities... And where do I plug my battery charger...Hmm...
Short story, I have a reservation on a motel room 15-20 miles away, will probably stay on the mountain Friday night, maybe also Saturday night to catch early morning shots, but I'll have an escape to civilization and fresh clothes when needed.
