A 20mm lens is a 20mm lens, regardless of whether you put it on a 35mm camerra, an *ist D or the Hubble. However, on the "ist D it will provide an angle of view much like that of a 30mm lens on a 35mm camera.

I don't know if you mean 20mm on a 35mm format body or 20mm on the Starkist. (If it's the latter, I think you're just about out of luck - <g>.)

For ultra wide angles, I can personally vouch for three lenses - the
A 20/2.8 (excellent - my most used wide angle lens), the A 15/3.5
(very nice, but not very portable) (I understand that the K version
is just as good), and the A 16/2.8 Fish-Eye (quite compact and fun
to use, but, of course, is not rectilinear, as are the other two
lenses).  [My comments are based upon use on 35mm film bodies.]
