Well, I wouldn't exactly say that the the M 85/2 is "sharp". However, it's a lot better lens than some on this list have given it credit for in the past. It's not my favorite Pentax 85 (the K 85/1.8 and the A 85/1.4 are indeed better), but it does a good job as a compact portrait lens. Fred
