I think I am getting there. What do you mean by "any connector"? My understanding is that I am looking for a part that slides into the HSG hotshoe and provides a hotshoe to be used just as a stand for the flash. Am I right? I know all about the cables and the other adapters necessary (incl. the difference between F and Fg). But are you sure that a generic hotshoe connector with connections won't destroy the recipe (or the circuitry)? The only thing I then need is a bracket to link the camera with the HSG. Thanks Mike!
