Had/have the same problem with my D1.The blower would take of most but not all and from
what i
hear on the net and NikonD1 BB that after a while the filter gets minutely sticky and
the
dust will not
come off with a blower. For that a swab clean is needed. Most on the Nikon BB do it them
selves with a
cleaner and swab kit.Me i'm a chicken and had Nikon Canada do it.Sounds like you may
have
to resort
to this method.

Do a Google on ccd cleaning.Lots of info out there. However this home method is only
approved by
Kodak and Fuji, not Nikon and probably Pentax, but i have not checked in a while.

Its about $100.00 Canadian per clean so it adds up.The biggest PITA as far as DSLR's
go i
think.
