I don't think you can beat the Epson 3200 with anything in its price range. The Epson without the extra software is about $350. If you're in the Detroit area one of these days give me a call, and I'll get together with you and show you some prints. In the meantime I've posted an example on PhotoNet. The first shot is a mild crop of a 6x7. The second is a detail from the first frame.
